STEP4NAMs Webinar - Training & Support Programme
The STEP4NAMs training and support programme will be introduced during an online webinar in early March, followed by the launch of the EDUCATE training platform in mid-March. Stakeholders interested in New Approach Methodologies are invited to discover the programme and explore how it can support their activities and projects.
The STEP4NAMs project launches a training and support programme to promote the adoption of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) as alternatives to animal testing in the BioPharma and MedTech sectors.
The programme is built around EDUCATE, an online Moodle-based training platform with a core module on regulatory, ethical and practical aspects of NAMs, and four specialised modules: Organ-on-Chip, Organoids, Digital Twins, and Benchtop Simulations for MedTech. Participants can follow the courses at their own pace and receive certificates.
For SMEs, the programme also offers additional support:
ENABLE – tailored hands-on support and expertise (e.g., microfluidics, biomaterials, regulatory aspects, testing).
APPLY – a challenge-based programme connecting SMEs with industry partners to develop NAM solutions for real-world needs.
The programme follows a modular pathway, with EDUCATE as the entry point, complemented by optional SME support (ENABLE) and industry collaboration opportunities (APPLY).
During the webinar, we will present:
– The EDUCATE online training platform
– How optional SME support and implementation opportunities complement the programme
– The next steps and timeline
STEP4NAMs is funded by the European Union under Interreg.
